Dr. Shondra Becker – Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Shondra Becker was born in Oceanside, California. She grew up as a military kid moving often with her family, then finally settled in Melbourne,Florida. She obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science with a minor in Zoology and a Master’s Degree in Forensic Toxicology at the University of Florida. She then received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Becker enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has special interests that include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine. She also has experience and loves treating exotic pets and reptiles.

Dr. Becker is happily married to her college sweetheart and together they have 4 beautiful children and 2 wonderful fur-babies. In her free time, Dr. Becker enjoys reading, relaxing at the beach and cheering on the Florida Gators!


Dr. Ann Osborne – Associate Veterinarian

Ann Osborne received her veterinary degree from the University of Florida in 2008. She then entered a small animal veterinary medicine and surgery internship in Tampa, Florida for one year. She became a member of the Moses Creek Animal Hospital family in 2013. In addition to working in private practice, Dr. Osborne has had a few opportunities teaching veterinary technicians at Eastern Florida State College.


Vanessa – Practice Manager

Vanessa became a member of the Moses Creek Animal Hospital’s family in 2018. She is a Florida native and has no desire to ever leave the sunshine state. Vanessa attended Daytona State College where she studied in Business Management. She has over 16 years experience in all different area’s of veterinary medicine which range from general practice all the way up to specialty medicine. Patient care and leadership is her passion which is why she does her best to help Dr. Becker operate Moses Creek Animal Hospital. Vanessa shares her loving home with her husband , 2 beautiful children , 4 dogs and 4 cats. When she is able to find spare time she enjoys crafting, spending time with family/friends and going for trail rides on her family’s UTV/ATV’s.


Susan – Veterinary Technician Supervisor

Susan became a member of the Moses Creek Animal Hospital’s family in 2009. She became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2000. In addition to her LVT degree, she also has a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and an Associate in Radiology (retired license). She is passionate about animal care and has been since she was a child. Susan shares her loving home with 2 fur-babies named Lexi-Sofia and Valentino. In her spare time she enjoys spending time in the yard, beach and traveling!


Carrie – Veterinary Technician

Carrie became a member of the Moses Creek Animal Hospital’s family in 2018. She has always had a passion for helping animals. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster Collage and working hard to obtain her licence in Veterinary Technology. She has a strong interest in animal behavior and volunteers as a trainer/consultant for a New England based dog rescue group. She is also Fear Free Certified. She previously lived in Connecticut but is now able to enjoy the Florida sunshine year round. Carrie and her husband have 4 rescued fur-babies (3 dogs & 1 cat) that they share their loving home with. In Carrie’s free time, she loves taking her dogs to the beaches to explore and relax.


Maria-Laina – Veterinary Technician

Maria-Laina became a member of the Moses Creek Animal Hospital’s family in 2019. She started her career in an all cat clinic, which she loved working in. Today, she equally loves being able to work with dogs, as well as the exotic animals that come to our hospital. She grew up with many different animals and her childhood pet’s consisted of 4 dogs, 5 cats, 3 small birds, a turtle, 2 hamsters, and several different types of fresh water fish. Her dream has always been to work with animals. She furthered her medical knowledge by completing some Veterinary Technician courses and will finish her degree in the future. She moved to St. Augustine when she was 13 and still is in love with it’s beauty and history.  In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her 6 year old daughter (May-Lynn), her 2 dogs (Taz and Champ), her cat (Summer) and  family and friends.

Odessa – Client Service Representative Supervisor

Odessa became a member of Moses Creek Animal Hospital’s family the summer of 2019. She graduated Palatka High School in 2014 as a Summa Cum Laude in the top 9% of her class. In 2015, her heart quickly led her on a path to helping animals by working at a local veterinary practice. Her passion for animals quickly grew and she became eager to learn almost all the supporting roles in a veterinary practice. She has been able to excel in her career as an animal advocate while working as a kennel technician, receptionist and veterinary technician.  She was born and raised a Florida native. She shares her home with her husband (high-school sweethearts),  2 dogs and 1 cat, but hopes to add more! In her free time she loves reading, shopping, decorating, painting, & DIY creations.

 

 

 


Madison – Client Service Representative

Madison became a member of the Moses Creek Animal Hospital’s family in 2018. She graduated from Matanzas High school the same year and earned a cum laude metal.  She is very passionate about animals and excited she was able to start her career in veterinary medicine as our receptionist. She has two cats  (Meatball and Spaghetti), Three Dogs (Nittney, Sal, Gwedo), a rabbit name Caesar and a crested gecko named Da Vinci Van Gecko. Animals have always been part of her life and she loves all of her family’s pets but her main love/best friend is her stubborn English bulldog Nittney.  She hopes to one day progress in her career and train to be a veterinary technician so she could further help animals in need.
